A Youtube video gone viral captures 20-year-old Elliot Darrow passionately performing his poem for the University of North Carolina during the final stages of the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational.

Darrow, according to The Times Magazine Swampland Blog, describes himself as a straight male but says it is his religion that ‘drives his writing’.
