Every now and then something happens to a person in a favored class of people to put them squarely in someone else’s shoes. That was what happened to a heterosexual man after his luggage was vandalized. Gay Star News has the story:

A heterosexual father of two has blogged about his experience having the words ‘I am gay’ plastered on his luggage after boarding a Jetstar flight at Perth airport – an incident which the airline is now investigating.

‘Aaron,’ wrote that the experience had given him a greater appreciation of what gay people go through every day.

‘My suitcase was the first bag on the carousel,’ Aaron wrote on his One Sleepy Dad blog.
